Data retention
I will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes I collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
For bespoke patterns, I keep that information for up to two years in the event that a repeat order is placed, I will contact you after two years to see if you’d like us to keep this information for a definite period of time or destroy it securely. If I do not receive a reply within a week I will dispose of your pattern. You can contact me at info@emiah.co.uk at any time to request this with immediate effect.
For digital copy’s of orders and patterns, I keep that information for three years unless you indicate that you wish for it to be deleted or stored for longer.
By law I must keep basic information about my customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for seven years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.
By subscribing to the mailing list you agree to let us contact you from time to time with news of offers, sales and new designs. You will remain on our mailing list until such a time as you indicate that you no longer wish to be contacted by us. You can do this by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of our newsletter or contacting me at info@emiah.co.uk.
It is not our custom to delete email correspondence with our customers after a set period of time, but you can request this at any time. Our email is password protected.
Hard copies of data will be shredded at the indicated time, and digital information permanently deleted.
Disclosure of your personal data
I may disclose your personal information to any of my employees, officers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.

The following applies to my site, when viewed on a mobile device.

I use Google Analytics to analyse the use of this website. Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users’ computers. The information generated relating to my website is used to create reports about the use of the website. Google will store this information. You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, I may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, I may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
I try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take me longer than a month if your request is particularly complex, or you have made several requests. In this case, I will notify you and keep you updated.

Emiah may update this privacy policy from time to time by posting a new version on my website. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes. I may also notify you of changes to our privacy policy by email, if you have elected to receive these.
